Emily Kiefer, MMT, MT-BC

I have worked as a hospice music therapist with Trellis Supportive Care in Winston-Salem, NC for over 5 years. In addition to this meaningful work, I am excited to now offer individual sessions of the Bonny Method of Guided Imagery and Music for private clients. I believe in the power of music as a co-therapist to create transformation, bring insight, and lead to healing, and I am excited to join you on this journey.

I am a North Carolina native and received my B.A. in Music and Philosophy from UNC Chapel Hill, where I studied flute as a primary instrument. After deciding to pursue music therapy, I received both my Equivalency and Master of Music Therapy from Appalachian State University in Boone, NC. I moved to Winston Salem to intern and eventually work with Trellis Supportive Care as a music therapist.

I love audiobooks and podcasts, enjoy walking around West Salem with my husband and son, and I have a pet lovebird named Penny, who sometimes comes with us!
